What if I need a more custom website package?
While we begin with set packages, I can work with you to expand and build up the perfect website design package for you. Our base packages are what we know are the base minimum in order to provide you with the most effective starting point for your website. But we encourage you to bring your dream wish list so that we can build a unique package to best fit your needs.
How many rounds of edits do I get?
With years of refinement to my process, by the time we reach development most changes are content only. With the staging sites, you have constant access to your site and therefore can make faster and more confident edits.
How much access will I have to the site during the build?
I build all of our websites on what’s referred to as a “Staging” website. The staging site also allows you to view your site, real-time, on any an all devices so that you get the most accurate idea of exactly what your clients will experience when on your site.
Do you offer à la carte website design services?
Not at this time. I only offer complete site builds or redesigns. I believe in building your websites right the first time, with all the details needed to truly make an impact on the web and assist you in standing out in your industry.
Other than the website itself, what other deliverables come with a website project?
With our goal to provide you with the most support and confidence in running your own website post-launch, any custom design graphics or templates used in your site’s design will be included via a shared Dropbox folder post-launch.
What happens after the website is launched?
With education always being one of our top goals, we will have a teaching session during your launch week, where you will site and walk through your site. I also offer technical support packages that we can discuss with you at the end of your project.
What additional costs might come up during a project?
I try to be as transparent as possible during our builds so that there are no additional charges or surprise fees. The only additional costs that might come up would be any licensing fees for special plugins, artwork, or media, as well as any additional design time beyond your contracted timeframe. We try to provide both free and paid options before incurring any additional fees on top of a project total.
Who is responsible for the website’s content? ie: images, text, media etc…
The project is an incredibly collaborative experience. While you can employ copywriters and editors to assist with your website’s copy, The most important thing is it always sounds, looks, and feels just like you.
What about hosting?
Build on a Staging website on our own server, you do not need to worry about purchasing hosting until just before your website’s launch. We will be sure to notify you of this deadline and assist you in purchasing and setting up the right hosting that meets all of your website’s unique needs. If you already have your own hosting, you are welcome to keep your current host, or we can assist you in moving to a new host company if necessary.
What should I have prepared before we begin my website?
Every website I build is completely unique. You will get a detailed list of all items that you will need to provide for your project, with relevant timelines, during our website strategy session.
Overall, what is expected of me as a client?
While each website project will have a specific list of client responsibilities, the number one expectation is your investment into the project. Once we begin your project, I ask that you be sure that you are available and accessible for edits, revisions, feedback, and our weekly design meetings.
I’m ready to book. Now what?
Excellent! The first step is to fill out the proposal planner form. From there you’ll receive a link to schedule your first design consult with us where we’ll get to know each other, your business, your website design needs and make sure we’re the right fit.
How soon should I book with you?
With only 2 to 3 projects per month, we often book our projects out between 1-2 months out. So the sooner the better in order to get the ideal spot in our schedule. While you may be booked months in advance, this allows us to organize and prepare your project as thoroughly as possible so that once we begin the design process, we’re able to move quite quickly.
How many projects do you take on at a time?
I only take on between 2 to 3 active projects per month to ensure that your website project receives the attention to detail and energy needed to accomplish all work on time and at the highest quality.
What is your payment process?
All Website Design projects are broken down into three installments. ⅓ upfront upon booking, ⅓ by the start date of your project, and ⅓ at the end of the project, just before launch. All payments are due in full before the website is launched.
